The Welcome Table is primarily a takeout place only, as there are no tables in the restaurant and very little seating.
The restaurant's founders encourage families to eat dinner together, gathering around the table for conversation. To that end, the restaurant offers family dinner packages that can be picked up and enjoyed for an entire week. The meals, which feed five to seven people, start at $100 and can be customized from the regular menu.
Richmond City Council's Commercial Area Revitalization Effort (CARE) helped fund the venture as Gordon and Cheryl Russell hope to help rebuild the 3rd district.
