How do you wish a wiki a happy first birthday?

RichmondWiki first launched on June 23, 2008. During the 365 days that followed, we’ve seen the following growth in usage and interaction (only counts the wiki, not this project blog):

  • There are 792 total pages in the wiki (not all are actual articles)
  • 69,384 page views (avg. of 190 per day)
  • 2,179 edits to articles (avg. of 6 per day)
  • 2.75 average edits per page
  • 31.8 average views per edit
  • 74 registered users (most edits come from anonymous visitors, which is cool with us)
  • More stats available on the wiki statistics page or this blog’s monthly recap

The 10 most viewed pages were:

Needless to say, I’m happy with how far the project has come with little real “marketing”.

Looking for a last-minute gift idea? Try adding some details to the article of your choosing, or a random one!

And Finally…

Thanks to everybody that has visited, contributed to, or linked to the wiki! The more you can contribute to the project, the more useful it is to others.

Here’s to another 365 days!
