Richmond suffered a huge loss today with Circuit City announcing its liquidation. “Liquidation” is just a euphemism for going out of business. It now goes from being one business on the brink to 30,000+ soon-to-be out-of-work people. A financial story to a human story.
These “unwilling alumni” will soon be looking for jobs, trying to network, and seeking assistance. In this economy, they are going to need all the help they can get and the Richmond community needs to be standing by ready to help their own.
In that spirit, I created a new article for Circuit City Alumni Resources that we can use to help Richmond-based CC employees get the information, networking, and assistance they need. Please consider adding any resources that you know of in the following areas:
